On behalf of the Boerne Youth Football Association (BYFA) Board of Directors and Executive Committee, welcome to Boerne Bulls Football.
Located in the Texas Hill Country, BYFA is a non-profit youth football association, committed to provide a competitive football environment where the child / player “comes first.” BYFA is serviced by community based volunteers; a dedicated Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Coaching Staff(s) and parents.

In May 2015, the BYFA Board of Directors and Executive Committee voted with majority approval, to join and compete in the Texas Youth Football Association (TYFA) organized league play, during the 2015 fall football season. In BYFA’s inaugural season with TYFA, BYFA will compete within TYFA’s Division II. BYFA will compete in the following TYFA age groups:
Flag (4-5 year old)
Midgets (6-7 year old)
Rookies (8-9 year old)
Juniors (10-11 year old)
Seniors (12-13 year old)
At this time, BYFA intends to field one competitive team across all of the aforementioned Divisions, with the possibility of expanding to two competitive teams within each respective age group if the number of players grows to support them in all age groups. Because of the team structure of TYFA, we must have either one team for each age group or two for each age group, but we cannot have two for some and not all age groups.
BYFA opened on-line registration on May 15, 2015. Following the Skills Assessment Clinics, the coaches for each age group will select the registrants for each of the age groups. Depending on amount of registrations, we can have up to 25 players for Flag teams and up to 40 for other teams. As we are a competitive team moving towards a more select team approach, team rosters will be developed based on level of interest and results at the Skills Assessment with coaches also taking into consideration the order in which players are registered. Upon the election of the coach, the size of the teams may be increased or decreased so as to best group players. We will only have a second team if there are enough players and volunteer coaches for each age group.
Due to insurance requirements, payment in full due at the time of registration. BYFA registration will cost $125 for cheerleading, $250 per player for flag football, and $300 per player for tackle football. We will additionally require a check for a $75 equipment deposit at the time that tackle players pick up their team supplied helmet and pads, but we will not deposit the check unless equipment is not returned at the end of the season. All game uniforms which players get to keep following the season will be provided by this fee as well. Registration has a final cut-off deadline of July 31, 2015.
